Mrs. Carolyn Lee Low Howell

Mrs. Carolyn Lee Low Howell, age 80 of Cave Spring, Georgia, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Cedar Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Howell was born in Gilmer County on April 1st, 1946, a daughter of the late Gordon Lee Low and the late Mary Ellen Kelly Mullinax. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Roger Harold Howell; one brother, Donnie "Joe" Low. Mrs. Howell was the heart of her family and found her greatest joy in being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family and loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She never met a stranger and could start up a conversation with anyone, anywhere. Her sweet nature and welcoming smile had a way of making people feel like family. Mrs. Howell was an avid Braves fan and enjoyed cheering on her favorite team. She loved watching hummingbirds and was a an Elvis fanatic, knowing just about everything there was to know about "The King." She rarely missed a game show and enjoyed the sewing, cooking, and caring for her family. She was of the Baptist faith. 

Survivors include her two sons, Gary Howell (Holly) and Richard Howell (Crista); two daughters, Connie Earwood (Jeff) and Melissa Pitts (Marty); two brothers, Tom Low (Shirley) and Aubey Low; one sister, Diane Mullinax; 11 grandchildren, Emily, Chance, Dalton, Erika, Ethan, Alexia, Alex, Abigayle, Annalyne, Elizabeth, Anzleigh, Colby, Caleb, and Brooklyn; six great-grandchildren, Renlee, Annistyn, Lilla Mae, Michael James, Baylor, and Jayce. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 1PM at Cave Spring Community Center, 10 Georgia Avenue, Cave Spring, Georgia, 30124, with friends and family sharing memories.
