Mr. Charles Michael "Mike" Tant

Mr. Charles Michael "Mike" Tant, age 70, of Silver Creek, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Atrium Floyd Hospital.

Mr. Tant was born in Rome, Georgia, on November 14, 1955, a son to the late Charles W. Tant and the late Virginia Cowan Tant. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Mull. Mike was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He was considered a homebody and quiet proud of it. He loved nothing more than sitting at home watching old westerns on the T.V. - John Wayne was his favorite actor and any movie with him in it was the best in Mike's opinion. He was very artistic and liked painting and drawing scenes of the mountains and nature from his front porch. Mike was just as simple about his love of food - country cooking was what he loved to share with others and beans and potatoes were sure to be on his plate! His quiet ways, and love for those around him will carry on his family and their memories. He will forever be loved and missed by all those who knew him.

Hie is survived by his wife, Debra Lynne Tant; daughter, Jenny (Jamie) Barnett; stepsons, Anthony Rogers and Rodney Kilgore; grandchildren, Langston Barnett, Taylor Barnett, Jaxson Barnett; niece, Meghan Mull; nephew Clay Mull.

Mr. Tant was cremated and no further services are planned at this time.
