Mr. Clifford Allen Starkey

Mr. Clifford Allen Starkey, age 84, a lifelong resident of Gordon County, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his home in San Diego County, California, on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

Mr. Starkey was born in Sonoraville, Georgia, on October 7, 1941, to the late Grover Cleveland Starkey and the late Lillie Mae Barnette Starkey. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Frank, and Bill; and three sisters, Marie, Melba, and infant sister Betty.

Mr. Starkey was a true believer and lived his life faithfully and religiously. His faith was strong all the way to his core and he was a devoted  servant and member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. Mr. Starkey was a true example of a honest, hardworking man who worked to provide for his family. He was kind and thoughtful to everyone he encountered. His demeanor was a testament to this, and it's well known that he cared more about peace than being right. His presence was simply a wonderfully calming space to be in. His hobbies included working puzzles and brain teasing games, listening to country music on the radio, and watching westerns on the TV. He loved road trips and would ride every backroad he could find from one point to the other, always with his window rolled down and enjoying the passing scenery. Of all these many things, his wife of 64 years was not only the love of his life, and also who he enjoyed spending time with most.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pat Black Starkey; three daughters, Leticia, Levinia (Russell), Naketa (Ben); fifteen grandchildren, Josh, Leah, Spencer (Starr), Chelcy (Jonathon), Maloy (Amanda), Camden, Corwyn, Darcy, Dex, Nate, Ames, Kade, Imry, Wellsley, Waverly; nine great grandchildren, Marley, Julia, Mavis, Jett, Luca, Ryland, Lottie, Lennon; one brother, Kenneth; numerous nieces and nephewsand extended family.
