Clyde Calvin Holt Jr.

Mr. Clyde Calvin Holt Jr., age 85 of Rome, passed away on Saturday May 20th, 2023, at Advent Health Redmond.


Mr. Holt was born in Rome, Ga on March 18th, 1938, to the late Clyde Holt Sr. and the late Esthus Evans Holt. Mr. Holt was full of life and a hilarious comic. He loved his family and the old oak tree on his farm. He was a beloved father, and a marvelous husband who will be greatly missed. Mr. Holt was a veteran having proudly served in the United States Army until being honorably discharged. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Holt was a truck driver.


Survivors include his wife, Jo Anne Holt; two sons, Clyde Holt III 'Troy', and David Lee Holt both of Rome; one daughter, Nancy Marie Gates of California; stepchildren, William Romney Land, Melanie Dundena Land, and Timothy Patrick Land; one sister, Linda Sutton of Rome; beloved niece, Tammy; eight grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren.


To honor his wishes, Mr. Holt was cremated, and a private memorial service will be held on the family farm.
