Mr. Donald Leon Henderson

Mr. Donald Leon Henderson, age 81 of Rome, Ga., passed away on Friday, June 20th, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Henderson was born in Atlanta, Ga on March 3rd, 1944, son of the late Jasper Isaiah Henderson and the late Geneva Brown Henderson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Linda Gail Henderson; two brothers, Joseph “Buddy” Henderson and Jimmy Henderson. Mr. Henderson was a proud graduate of Cartersville High School, Class of 1962, and went on to earn his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Georgia. He dedicated over 40 years to serving his community as a pharmacist and was the owner and operator of Garden Lakes Pharmacy. An avid fan of UGA football, you would find him cheering on the “Dawgs” every time they played. Mr. Henderson loved the outdoors and embraced every adventure, whether metal detecting, rock hunting, or simply spending time outside with his grandchildren. He was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include his two daughters, Marnie Sharp and her husband Doug, and Julie Corn; eight grandchildren, Christopher “Brent” Hoge,  Staff Sgt. Matthew “Caden” Hoge, Jackson Ryan Corn, Madison Reese Corn, Parker Sharp, Cohan Sharp, Ashley Osborne, and Danielle Sharp; two great-grandsons, Walker Burke Anderson and Christopher “Mac” Hoge; several other great-grandchildren; one sister, Cynthia Ann Johnson.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 24th, 2025, at 11 AM from the Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Colston officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens with Masonic Graveside rites conducted by Oostanaula Lodge F&AM #113. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers include Peter Corn, Brent Hoge, Staff Sgt. Caden Hoge, Jackson Corn, Aaron McCullough, and Mike Sharp. These gentlemen are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 AM on Tuesday.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 23rd from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
