Ms. Eleanor "Terre" Davenport

Ms. Eleanor "Terre" Davenport, age 86, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026. 

Ms. Davenport was born in Rome, Georgia, on May 15, 1939, to the late Henry Grady Terrell and the late Myra Holland Terrell. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by one sister, Gwen Bennett.

Shortly after graduating from Model High School, she moved to Atlanta and lived there, Smyrna, and Marietta the remainder of her life. 

Terre is survived by her son, Todd Davenport; one granddaughter, Karson Davenport Harris (Ben); one brother, David Terrell (Sandra); one sister, Judy Arnold; eleven nieces and nephews; and her very, very special friends, Ann White, Katie Davenport, Bonnie Pinkston.

She enriched those around her with her laughter, witt, and care; now she is experiencing joy, peace, and life with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! 

The family would like their gratitude to be known and that words fail to adequately convey their appreciation for the wonderful staff at Cedar Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, as well as that of Willowbrook Hospice, for their great level of care given to Terre in her last days with them. 

In accordance with her wishes, Ms. Davenport was cremated and no further services are planned.
