Glynn Wayne Watson

Mr. Glynn Wayne Watson, age 75 of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Friday, October 10th, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Watson was born in Long Beach, California on December 12th, 1949, a son of the late John Ray Watson and the late Lolita Marie Henthorn Watson. After graduating from high school, Mr. Watson attended California State University, Long Beach, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He built a successful career as a financial consultant and owned and operated his own company. After retiring, he went back to work as a security supervisor, until retiring in 2024. When he wasn’t working, he truly enjoyed life. He liked to spend time at the gun range, riding his bicycle on the Silver Comet Trail, and especially his trips to the beach—what he always called “his trip to The Gulf of America.” He was a true cigar lover and enjoyed sitting on the porch with his daughter, sharing a cigar and having a good laugh.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Kathy Watson; one daughter, Ashley Lindberg (Kevin); one brother, Scott Watson (Maria); one sister, Shawni Card-Greer (John).

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Watson was cremated and no formal services are planned at this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Watson.
