Huburt Ellis

Mr. Huburt Ellis, age 85 of Cave Spring, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, November 26th, 2024, at a local assisted living facility. 

Mr. Ellis was born in Rome, Georgia on September 7th, 1939, to the late Thomas Claeron Ellis and the late Lois Evelyn Montgomery. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Tim Ellis. Mr. Ellis was a Veteran, having served honorably in the U.S Airforce from 1958 until his honorable discharge in 1964. Mr. Ellis enjoyed deer hunting and watching football, especially GA Tech and the University of Georgia. He loved NASCAR and watching his favorite drivers, Dale Earnhardt and Richard Petty. He attended and was an honorary member of Little Cedar Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School. Mr. Ellis was a retired truck driver. 

Survivors include his son, Tommy Ellis of Glennville; two daughters, Teresa Beckham and her husband Mike of Lakeland, Fla., and Tammy Culp and her husband Mark of Lindale; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Terry and her husband Donald. 

A private interment service will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
