Jack Samuel Rayburn Jr.

Mr. Jack Samuel Rayburn Jr., age 65, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, April 29th, 2025, at Erlanger Hospital. 

Mr. Rayburn was born in Rome, Georgia, on August 6th, 1959, to the late Sarah Robbie Ellis Rayburn and the late Jack Samuel Rayburn Sr. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Rodney Rayburn. He was known as a jack of all trades and could do anything he pretty much made his mind up to do. A passionate car guy, Mr. Rayburn could be found at the dirt track behind the wheel of #77, sitting in the stands cheering on his favorite Nascar drivers, tinkering under the hood of his latest project, or rebuilding a motor. He lovingly remodeled, restored, and rebuilt many older cars and loved to watch car shows where others were doing the same. Vacation time would find him in the mountains he adored and Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge was his top pick because of you guessed it, Rod Run! Daytona Beach was his second place of choice due to not only the beach but that famous oval track where the Daytona 500 is ran. He truly loved being outdoors and that went from admiring the scenery around him to riding 4 wheelers, and spending time in nature. The one thing he loved the most (even over cars) was his grandchildren. He had a special bond with his granddaughter. Being a prankster who pulled jokes on his family was something he got a thrill out of doing. He was a person who will be missed dearly by his family and friends, and the memories he made with them will always be cherished. 

Survivors include one daughter, Kristy (Tony) Strattard; one son, Jack Beckham; two grandchildren, Octobriana (Tyler) Rustin and A.J. Strattard; three sisters, Sarah Swindle, Kimberley Hart, and Jackie Emory; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Rayburn was cremated, and there are no further services planned.
