Mr. Jackie Lynn Estes

Mr. Jackie Lynn Estes, age 73 of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Monday, February 9th, 2025.

Mr. Estes was born in Bell County, Kentucky on September 19th, 1952, a son of the late Charles Junior Estes and the late Edna Mae Morrison Estes. In addition to his father and biological mother, he is preceded in death by his mother who raised him, Mrs. Ruby Estes; one brother, David Estes. Mr. Estes had passion for classic cars, especially his Corvettes. He loved listening to his Motown music and being the “life of the party”. The holidays were his favorite time of year, and he could always be found cooking and baking for those special occasions He never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel welcome. He enjoyed going to car shows and spending time in the mountains, especially in Cherokee, North Carolina. Mr. Estes retired from Mohawk Industries.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Cathrine “Cathy” Parker Estes; stepson, Anthony King; one grandson, A.J King; one brother, Bill Estes (Terry); six sisters, Betty Ferris (Keith), Janice Fortenberry, Mary Ann Earle (Fred), Lisa Cowan (Gary), Brenda Belcher (Anthony), and Charlotte Ray (David); special friend, Ron Holbrook.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Estes was cremated and a Celebration of Life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
