Martha Ann Butler

Martha Ann Butler, age 83, of Rome, GA, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 24, 2024.

Ms. Butler was born in Eton, GA on January 31, 1941, to the late Dorsey and Annie (Elliott) Brown. She had an attention for detail that led her to being the 1st administrative assistant at GA Kraft. Those same skills that she took such pride in would eventually shine again in her role of not only member, but also secretary at Shorter Avenue Baptist Church. Her dedication and commitment was respected by all of those she came in contact with. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, quilting, ceramics and could be found getting lost in the story of a good book.

Ms. Butler was a cherished and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Survivors include one daughter, Amy Butler; one sister, Jane (Mike) Meadows; one grandchild, Alyssa Porter Rodgers; two great grandchildren, Bellamy and Lennon James Rodgers; two special nieces, Julie Wilson Robinson and Lori Wilson Gribble; extended family and friends.

May Ms. Butler rest in eternal peace, knowing the legacy she left behind with everyone who knew and loved her. Ms. Butler had requested cremation as her final wish. The family has requested no service at this time.
