Mr.Richard John Nye

Mr. Richard John Nye, age 84 of Taylorsville, Ga., passed away on Wednesday, January 1st, 2025 at his residence.

Mr. Nye was born in Edgerton, Ohio on August 14th, 1940 to the late Forest Nye and Leola Long Nye. Prior to his retirement, he owned and operated Nye and Nye Trucking.

Survivors include his two sons, Rick Nye (Lisa) and Jeff Nye (Natalie); two daughters, Kim Myers and Jeaneen Vogler (Jim); 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four brothers; two sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 16th, 2025 at Cross Pointe City Church in Cartersville from 3 PM until 5 PM. Family and friends are welcome to stop by and celebrate the lives of Richard and Jeanette Nye.
