Mr. Ronald Lee Halter

Ronald Lee Halter, 80, of Manchester, Georgia, passed away July 2, 2026, in Rome, Georgia.

He was born on September 14, 1945 in Piggott, Arkansas and was the son of Frank and Flossie (Scallion) Halter. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Daniel Halter; mother Flossie Halter, son Roddy Halter, sister Carolyn Wright and granddaughter Alayna Brooke Carter.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Moore (Todd); sisters Patsy Langley, Frankie Stanley (Robert), brother Alan Halter (Sarah), grandchildren Ansley Hale, Jarius Carter, and great grandchildren. He is also survived by nieces Melody Dawkins, Aubrey Dawkins and nephew Chase Dawkins, along with Marilyn Salas and Kayli Salas, and many other relatives and friends.

Ron, or Ronnie as he was called while growing up in Arkansas, helped his dad with farming and later, when he moved to Louisiana, he became an expert in silver recovery. His knowledge of precious metals and antiques was unmatched and he loved sharing his knowledge on all kinds of coins and antiques. One of his hobbies was going to estate sales. With his kind heart and gentle soul, he would help ones in need and was known for his gestures of giving coins to show his appreciation for kindness shown to him. After he retired from the metal business, he moved to Georgia where he devoted his efforts to caring for his son, Roddy.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 11th, 2026 at 4:30 PM in the Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Lindale Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 11th, from 3:30 PM until 4:30 PM at the funeral home.
